Guardian of the Castle
A marshal is a player who takes on the crucial responsibility of defending a castle. When a team possesses a castle of level 4 or above, the marshal’s base transforms into a defensive stronghold, repelling attackers who dare to breach the castle’s defenses.
Appointing a marshal incurs a 12-hour cooldown period before another player can be assigned to this role. This cooldown ensures that the team has ample time to find a replacement marshal if the current one decides to leave the team. For instance, if a marshal is appointed on Day 1 at 12:00 AM PT and departs the team on the same day at 10:00 AM PT, the team must wait two hours before selecting a new marshal.
However, if the marshal vacates the position on Day 1 at 3:00 PM PT, a new marshal can be immediately appointed as 12 hours have elapsed since the previous marshal’s departure.
Shield Management: A Bastion of Protection
The marshal holds the reins of the castle’s shield, an invisible protective barrier that wards off enemy attacks and grants precious time for defenders to regroup and strategize. With the flick of a switch, the marshal can activate or deactivate the shield, adapting their tactics to the ever-changing tides of battle.
Free Passage: Controlling Access and Resources
The marshal oversees the Free Passage list, a crucial tool for managing access to the castle’s resources and strategic locations. By carefully selecting which teams are permitted to enter the castle without restrictions, the marshal safeguards the castle’s assets and ensures that they are utilized for the team’s collective benefit.
Fort Level Upgrades: Enhancing Defenses
The marshal possesses the authority to initiate Fort upgrades, empowering the castle’s defensive capabilities and augmenting the combat bonuses granted to allied Primarchs. By strategically prioritizing these upgrades, the marshal can effectively bolster the castle’s resilience against even the most formidable adversaries.
